Castleknock CC to Represent Ireland at the 2025 Partille Cup

Olympic Handball Ireland is thrilled to announce that Castleknock Community College will represent the Republic of Ireland at this year’s Partille Cup, the world’s largest and most international youth handball tournament, held annually in Gothenburg, Sweden.

With over 1,400 teams from nearly 50 countries, the Partille Cup is a celebration of global youth sport and cultural exchange. The 2025 tournament runs from July 1st to July 6th, and this year’s edition will once again feature Ireland in the Boys 18 category.

Following in the Footsteps of St Brendan’s

This marks the second consecutive year that Ireland will be represented at the tournament. In 2024, St Brendan’s College U16s travelled to Gothenburg, laying the groundwork with their participation and showing the international handball community what Irish teams can bring to the court.

Building on that momentum, Castleknock CC now steps up as our sole representatives from the Republic, aiming to inspire the next generation of Irish players and showcase the inclusivity and excitement that defines our sport.
