2019-20 season tips off this weekend

It’s finally here!

The 2019-20 IOHA Senior league starts this weekend, no more fitness tests, no more training runs and no more practice games, from here on it’s all about getting a place in the league final next May.

The Sports hall in Dublin City University will be host to the first action of the new season this Saturday (October 12th) with a double header between Dublin City Handball Club and University College Dublin HC.

The ladies get the action underway @ 13.30 hrs while later on at 15.30 hrs it’s the turn of the men.

The defending champions, Dublin International (Men) and Astra (Ladies) have to wait a little longer till they get their campaigns under way and like all defending champions there is a target on their backs as other teams aim to knock them off their perch.

In the Men’s league the newly amalgamated Astra Wings will aim to hit the ground running while in the ladies league everybody will give the ladies from University College Cork a warm welcome.

There are sure to be a few surprises over the next 7 months as teams unveil new players and new plays.
