IOHA Launch “Ireland’s Call” Campaign

The Irish Olympic Handball Association has launched a new campaign aimed at tapping into the Irish diaspora in a bid to develop and strengthen the National Handball squads of Ireland.

Can you answer “Ireland’s Call”?

The aim of the campaign is to form a database of overseas Male and Female handball players who qualify through their parents, grandparents or having been born here to represent Ireland in International competition alongside players who are being developed in Ireland.

The campaign will be promoted mainly through Social Media, other handball federations and Irish organisations throughout Europe and further afield.

The Irish Senior and Men’s Under 18 squads will be the 1st target for new players but other age groups and Female players will also be targeted and welcome.

The Irish Men’s U-18 squad will participate in the EHF Euro Championship in Austria in August 2018 while the senior squad is due to participate in the IHF Emerging Nations Championships in 2019.
