IOHA to host free “Handball Fitness” Coaching Course

The Irish Olympic Handball Association is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a “Handball Fitness” Coaching Course on¬†Wednesday September 6th in the National Indoor Arena @ 7 p.m.

Lars Bronserud from the Danish Handball Federation will be delivering the course as part of the cooperation agreement renewed at last years EHF Congress in Austria.

Handball Fitness has proved very popular in Denmark and and is described below.

“Handball Fitness Training is aimed at all adults, regardless of handball skills who want to play fun sports with others, under more flexible forms than the traditional club handball offers.¬†Handball Fitness is training in running, fun physical training and handball on small lanes. We call it training with pulse, power and play because it gives the participants a sweat on the forehead, lots of roughness and fun ball games with others.”

The course will consist of a
– 30 – 40 minute theoretical presentation
Following this presentation participants will go directly to the practical session and therefore should come to the course in sports wear.

– 75 minutes practical presentation
The practical presentation will involve various exercise and will be suitable to all fitness levels and there will also be games between all the participants.

– 30 minutes Q & A if needed.
