IOHA's 1st U-15 National Academy is a resounding success. |
|
The IOHA held its first National Academy for the U-15 agegroup on Sunday July 5th. The venue for the training session was St. Colomba's College , Rathfarnham , Dublin. The session saw the coming together of boys from several different clubs and schools. Some of the boys had previous International experience others didn't but this did not prevent them from taking a full part in proceedings. The U-15 academy follows on from the very sucessful model used at U-13 level where players of all abilities can come along and have fun and learn some new handball skills from some of the top coaches in the country. It also gives the youngsters the chance to meet members of the Senior Mens and Womens International teams. The IOHA wants to increase the number and quality of underage players in Ireland and it sees the National Academies as playing an important part in this goal. |
