IOHA President elected to EHF committee

IOHA President, Fintan Lyons was today elected to the European Handball Federation’s Nations Committee Men.

The election took place as part of the agenda for the 15th EHF Congress in Vienna, Austria. The Congress was due to take place in Luxembourg but due to the Covid-19 situation was moved to Austria last month. Fintan was unable to travel to Austria due to the country being on the list for Mandatory Hotel Quarantine.

Following confirmation of his election Fintan commented, “I’m delighted to be elected to the European Handball Federation Nations Committee Men. This is an important committee which deals with all national team matters in the field of men’s handball throughout Europe. I’m really looking forward to working on this new level of engagement and very excited to be directly involved in the delivery of the EHF Masterplan for Handball throughout Europe. This progressive and challenging plan for European Handball will be good for the EHF and the development of handball in Ireland.”
