The Irish Men’s squad opened their Emerging Nation’s Championships with a win over Albania in their Group A clash in Tarnova, Bulgaria.
The boys in green got off to a great start with 3 unanswered goals and maintained a high tempo all through the first half and went in to the locker room leading 25-18.
Ireland’s most potent weapon was their fast break in the second half and they ran out 50-33 winners after 60 minutes.
So the boys got 2 points on the board but players and staff know that tougher challenges lie ahead.
