Two Matches This Weekend In IOHA Senior Men’s League

The first weekend in November sees 2 matches taking place in the IOHA Senior Men’s League and they both have the potential to be quiet interesting clashes.

First up on Saturday University College Cork (UCC) Handball Club host Lughnasa Handball Club in the Mardyke Arena @ 5.30 p.m. This will be UCC’s second game of the season and second at home, the first being a narrow defeat to defending champions Dublin International. This will be Lughnasa’s third game of the season following an opening loss ┬áto Astra, last week they followed up with an impressive win against UCD.

Early on Sunday morning Loughlinstown Sports Centre is the place to be as defending Champions Dublin International HC travel to take on 2015 Cup winners Astra HC. Both teams will want to make a statement of intent for the rest of the season. This will be DI’s second game of the season following that away victory in Cork a few weeks back while this game will be Astra’s third game following a shock home defeat to University College Dublin and an away win to Lughnasa. The action starts at 10.00 a.m and spectators are welcome at both matches.
