Handball Clubs Open Doors For EU Week Of Sport

Several handball clubs in the Dublin area are opening their doors to prospective new members to try out the sport of handball next week to mark EU Week of Sport.

European Week of Sport that will run across all EU Member States from September 7th – 13th 2015. The European Week of Sport aims to promote participation and raise awareness
about the importance of sport and physical activity and help change public perception and individual behavior ! It has also started to bring about connections between National Sport Agencies across EU countries and raise the profile of sport and physical activity at EU level.

Defending champions, Dublin International are having 2 sessions

  • Monday September 7th, Phibblestown Community Centre, Blanchardstown from 8-10 p.m.
  • Wednesday September 9th, Cabra Parkside Community Centre from 8-9 p.m.

In the Dun Laoighaire/Rathdown area, Astra HC are also having 2 sessions next week.

Tuesday September  8th and Thursday September 10th, 8-10 p.m. in Balinteer Community School .

In the South Dublin region Lughnasa Handball Club are training as follows

Wednesday September 9th 7-8.30 p.m. and Sunday September 13th 12-1.30 both in Tallaght Sports Complex.
