2013 League Champions revealed this weekend.

The name of the Champions for  2012/2013 Senior Men’s League will be revealed this weekend in the DCU Sportshall.

It’s been a long season with the first match of the campaign taking place back in September but this June Bank Holiday weekend will see 3 teams battle it out to become Champions of Ireland.

The action begins on Saturday with defending Champions and 2013 Cup Dublin International HC winners taking on Lughnasa HC at 11.30 a.m.

The boys from Dublin International are yet again unbeaten this season and will be looking to maintain that record for 2 more matches.

Lughnasa take their place in the semi final having finished 4th in the regular season after having what could be best described as a mixed season.

The winner of Saturday’s semi final will take their place in the final against Astra HC . Astra will hope their luck will continue till Sunday at least, they finished the regular season in 3rd place. They could have finished the season higher but lost 1 or 2 games from winning positions but they will provide a stern challenge to whoever they meet on Sunday. Astra HC are in the unusual position of having qualified directly for the final as their semi final opponents and runners up in the regular season UCC, withdrew from the competition.

Both the semi final and final tip off at 11.30 a.m. and supporters are welcome as the curtain comes down on the 2012/13 handball season. Admission is free.
