Irish Team Seeking Physio

The Irish men’s national team require a physiotherapist to support the team and form part of the High Performance Unit. The team have several important fixtures coming up including European Championship Qualifiers.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a sports team on the rise in Ireland and Europe. We are seeking a highly experienced, motivated professional who can operate to the highest standards in a high performance sport environment.
Academic/Qualification Requirements:

  • BSc Physiotherapy
  • Kinesio Tape course
  • Sports Traumatology course
  • Functional Movement Screening or Injury Screening experience
  • Dry needling – not essential but an advantage

Experience:

2 Years minimum post graduate experience in a sports injuries setting
with Sports team Experience.

Duties:

  • Attend training camps and days, away matches and tournaments
  • Compile regular reports on player’s injury status for the coaching team
  • Liaise with players regarding status of injury
  • See players in an outpatient setting to treat injuries
  • Provide rehabilitation programs, balance development, stretching programs and injury prevention
  • Injury screening pre season
  • Provide and order physio supplies (remunerated)
